We purchased a Blue Gold Water System. We bought this system from L.C. Holman Plumbing, and Mr. Holman installed it for us.

Before we purchased this system, I was completely frustrated because my dishes, glasses, pots, and most importantly, all my cutlery, became coated with a dull white ugly looking coating.

Then I began thinking things like: If this water is doing this to my dishes, what is it doing to my:

Stomach
Electric kettle
Dishwasher heating coils
Inside of my washing machine

Every stainless steel pot and bowl were now coated with this white stuff. My shower was starting to plug up.

My white bathtub did not show the coating, but felt really rough to the touch, even after cleaning. The inside of my shower was getting little yellow spots that I could not scrub off.

Mr. Holman asked me to keep a pot, some of my cutlery, and glasses so I could show the before and after to prospective new customers. Trouble is, he asked me two days after the Blue Gold Water System had been installed. It was too late. My pots were as shiny as they I purchased them. The rough scum feeling was off my dishes; all I had left was one glass that had not made it through my dishwasher yet, as I had not used it. I am saving that to brag to my neighbors about how much happier we now are in our house and with the ability to have everything looking as it should.

The installation was easy and clean. The system is hanging from a wall in my laundry room. There has been no loss of space, no inconvenience at all, and now if we need to go away and shut our water off - we can do it in the laundry room instead of having to struggle through the crawl space under the house.

I would recommend this system to anyone who is having hard water problems, who wishes to preserve the integrity of their electrical equipment that is subject to tap water.

Dear Lauren,

I'm really happy with the work you did for me, the faucet installation and cut off valves on the pipes as well as my new pump. I am especially pleased with the Pentex pump saver.

As you know, I was everywhere with my camera that day, so I captured most of what you were doing and attach the pictures as a reminder of a job well done.

Thank you very much for replacing my pump in the correct fashion, and showing me the errors a previous well service company had made.

I look forward to working with you again soon, because, as you know, old houses need lots of attention, and I have some plans for mine, including one that will call a bit on your inventive skills as a plumber and well specialist.

You have restored my faith in the concept of living up to one’s word.

When we moved from rural Ontario to Vancouver Island we were not prepared for the nightmare we encountered with our water.

The biggest problem was turbidity. After extensive research we determined the only manner in which to deal with the turbidity, at that time, was to inject alum into the water.

This required the installation of a 1,250 gallon holding tank to permit the alum to coagulate and settle out the particles in the water. The alum was then filtered back out of the water, through two filters, one being a Reverse Osmosis.

As a result our drinking water was limited to the designated R.0. tap in the kitchen; however, with no way to monitor the efficiency of the filters we were never certain that our drinking water was safe.

Further, as the water line to the barn did not circulate through the R.O. the quality of the water our horses were drinking was always a great concern.

In addition to the R.O. and holding tank, the system required the use of a mixing tank, jet pump, stem pac, chlorine, alum and, in total, three filters. In addition to the concern we had over the quality of our drinking water the installation was done in an unprofessional manner and we experienced continuous problems, such as lines blowing off, which resulted in flooding and the demise of both our new jet pump and UV light.

Each incident resulted in our being without water, from several hours for up to six days. For ten months we lived under extremely stressful conditions.

When you introduced us to the concept of a membrane filter I was quite skeptical. You promised clean, safe drinking water, throughout the entire house and the barn, without the use of chemicals.

No more managing 5 gallon containers of alum and chlorine, and a simplified, reliable installation. You delivered on your promise.

Based on our experience we strongly believe that individuals who set themselves out to be “Water Consultants”, must be certified through a provincially regulated program and that the use of alum be prohibited in drinking water.

I am sure we will enjoy a long and stress-free relationship with you.

My name is J.C. and I live in Duncan on Vancouver Island, British Columbia with my wife and two boys.

We had a Home Spring UF 100 filtration system installed in September of 2004, by Lauren Holman of L.C. Holman Plumbing Services Ltd.

Lauren has installed it on a trial basis in the hopes something could help our terrible water. We are on a well that measures 365 feet deep and goes through mostly shale rock and clay. This mix has resulted in extremely fine particulates that conventional filters couldn't touch. Our water was grey and milky, it wouldn't settle or clear.

We tried counter top systems, cartridge systems, even ultra violet gizmos - they all either clogged up or just didn't catch the junk.

We have had this system in now since September 2004 and from day 1 of installation our water is crystal clear. That in itself is amazing.

We are thrilled with the results and thankful to Lauren for introducing us to this great product. My wife, who has chronic health problems requires safe and clean water and relies on warm baths to relieve her discomforts. She can enjoy her bath and see her toes through the water; as it was you couldn't see the bottom of the tub.

For the past 20 years I have used a Brita Water System, unfortunately the way our world is changing that is now not enough.

The last 5 years the chlorination has increased immensely, my toddler’s eczema, my husband’s psoriasis and mild dandruff problem had hit new levels. The bath time for my son should be enjoyable and make one feel comfortable and clean, not reeking of chlorine and getting out of the tub with blotchy red spots and itchy skin.

I had given up soaking in our large soaker tub, something I used to enjoy. After my shower in the morning I would be getting ready for work and look in the mirror and my face was red and blotchy as well from the chlorine. Unfortunately, after many calls to our service provider we took matters into our own hands and have never looked back.

Now with our new water system there has been a tremendous change. Most importantly we are healthier, the water tastes and smells like water again and not some chemical cocktail, also the skin problems have been reduced to minimal.

Our hair and skin is soft and we use less body and house hold products. It was so nice to meet a professional who is certified and cares about clients needs. Thank you so much Lauren!
